There is no dramatic backstory, no secret-recipe-from-our grandma story, no long-forgotten childhood passion story, and no calculated business plan (wish there was!). The beginning of this story is simple and bittersweet, just like the cake.
Sometimes life didn’t go as planned. Things twisted. Life happened. In those darker moments, dark chocolate helped. Eating it was a comfort. Creating something from it became a solace, a bittersweet escape. And when someone appreciated it, it felt like being understood, without having to explain anything, without having to translate your soul.
From that quiet place came our first cakes: the Classic Dark and the Black Forest. Nothing flashy. Just a chocolate cake to come back to whenenever a little comfort was needed. Each bite was a tiny reminder that sweetness can still exist, even when life feels bitter. Looking back, those bitter moments became the roots for something sweet. And that’s how it all began.
Since then, we kept adding little by little: ice cream, cookies, truffles, drinks, salt bread, bonbons and bars - never all at once, always when it felt right. In the end, everything returns to the same principles. Gourmet creations made from the finest natural ingredients. No preservatives, no additives, no texture improvers. Color is used quietly, only when it serves beauty.
